ECREA ECREA Philosophy of communication conference

Landmarks is the biannual conference of the ECREA Philosophy of Communication Section. The Landmarks 2007 theme is "25 years of universal pragmatics. Facts and fictions". It is held from November 8-9, 2007 at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. This first conference of the Philosophy of Communication Section sets out to create an environment in which to discuss the analytical and philosophical determinants of communication theory. Read more
ECREA ECREA Film Studies Conference

The ECREA Film Studies Section organizes the international conference "The Glow in Their Eyes. Global perspectives on film cultures, film exhibition and cinemagoing" in Brussels, 15-16 December 2007. Confirmed keynote speakers are Annette Kuhn (University of London) and Richard Maltby (Flinders University). Read more

ECREA is pleased to announce that European Media and Communication Doctoral Summer School 2007 registration is now open. ECREA gives out 2 individual and 2 institutional grants covering all costs for participation in the summer school. Read more

Ten conferences or day seminars are being organized by ECREA sections during 2007, and more are in the planning. Most sections were formally established during 2006, and this year it is time for its members to meet and deliberate. Many ECREA members have not chosen their section affiliation yet, and this is a good time to do so. Read more
