The deadline for submission of abstracts for the Aarhus conference has now passed and we are delighted to announce that ECREA 2022 in Aarhus (19-22 October 2022) has received 2021 abstracts in total, a new record for ECREA.
This is a cause for celebration both as an indication of the rude health of the field in Europe and as a collective expression of optimism. The process of abstract review now beings in earnest.
In total, 2021 submissions have been received - 1711 individual submissions and 62 panels (each with five participants) to Sections, Temporary working groups and Networks. Prague, in 2016, had attracted 1986 submissions, Lugano, in 2018, had reached 1913 submissions, for 2020/2021 conference, the number was 2020 submissions.
Even though the deadline for abstracts was extended to take account of the disruption of the omicron wave, we will endeavour to keep to the date of April 26th to inform all prospective participants of the outcome of the review process. Many thanks to the many ECREAns involved in the review process from programme chairs to individual reviewers for making this happen.
The participation confirmation deadline is May 19th.
