Platforms & Society (Special Issue)

Digital platforms have become central spaces through which an expanding spectrum of conflicts is mediated, from affective polarization to online culture wars, humanitarian crises, armed violence, and information warfare. Platforms shape how conflicts become visible, circulate among publics, and are acted upon. The special issue of Platforms & Society invites empirical and theoretical contributions on how digital platforms mediate conflict in politically hostile environments.
