The Database of Variables for Content Analysis (DOCA) is looking for a communication and media researcher with expertise in automated content analysis to join its international editorial team.
DOCA is an open-access methodological infrastructure that compiles, systematizes, and critically evaluates content-analytical variables used across communication research. It provides a basis for the development and operationalization of variables and contributes to greater transparency and comparability in content analysis.
As a member of the editorial team, you will contribute to the strategic development of DOCA, support the development and integration of variables and methodological standards for automated content analysis, and participate in the review process of submitted DOCA variables.
The expected commitment is approximately 2 hours per month + participation in a monthly online editors’ meeting.
We offer the opportunity to:
- collaborate in an engaged and international editorial team,
- take on an editorial role in an established database for content analysis,
- actively contribute to Open Science in communication and media research, and
- help shape methodological standards for automated content analysis within DOCA.
Interested in joining us? Please send a short email outlining your motivation to Franziska Oehmer-Pedrazzi at franziska.oehmer-pedrazzi@mileva-institut.ch.
We are very much looking forward to hearing from you!
