The department of Culture and Media Studies is part of the Faculty of Arts at Umeå University, and has a broad educational and research activity within the disciplines ethnology, journalism, art history and visual studies, cultural analysis, literary studies, media and communication studies and museology. The department has about 60 employees and the combination of disciplines makes it a creative milieu for research meetings and collaboration between culture, art, media and literature.
