In order to allow as many scholars as possible to be part of ECREA, we are offering a very flexible and affordable membership fee structure for individuals and institutions, with reduced fees for young scholars and members from soft-currency countries.

As ECREA member, you have the possibility to join the Management Teams of the Sections, Networks and Temporary Working Groups, which allows you to set the agenda through ECREA ECC Conferences as well as the interim Conferences for your field.

Access the member's directory, member-only notifications and proprietary content, such as ECREA Weekly Digest.

ECREA publishes books in the field of communication and media research in collaboration with Palgrave. Research done by ECREA members is prioritized in the books of this series.

PhD STUDENT BENEFITS

ECREA offers reduced membership fee to PhD students. PhD students also benefit from reduced fees at ECREA ECC conferences. ECREA's Young Scholars Network (YECREA) offers opportunities for networking and a wide array of workshops targeting young scholars. Members of YECREA can also apply for ECC conference grants and European Media and Communication Doctoral Summer School grants.

7. GET THE
EDI SUPPORT

ECREA offers Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) support, such as EDI grants for the ECC. The EDI grants are awarded to the conference attendees who experience barriers and biases to participation and those who come from underrepresented groups. To facilitate participation of individuals identifying with this category we hope to make ECREA more equitable, diverse and inclusive.
